Penn Travel Card

The Penn Travel Card Makes Travel Easier

The University of Pennsylvania's new Penn Travel Card has been developed based on community feedback received from Penn business travelers' experiences, surveys and focus groups. The card integrates with Concur Expense, and charges automatically flow into the application, reducing manual entry and facilitating prompt payment of eligible travel, entertainment and similar business related expenses.

Cardholders will enjoy benefits such as:

  • Use of the Penn Travel Card helps to keep work-related travel and entertainment expenses separate from personal expenses;
  • Widespread merchant acceptance anywhere Visa is accepted;
  • Chip and PIN technology, particularly important for international travelers;
  • Reduced fees on international transactions;
  • No annual fee; and
  • Best-in-class fraud protection and other special benefits such as lost luggage and AD&D insurance.
  • Mobile Wallet, our option for contactless payment

Per Bank of America, the card's provider, applying for the card will not impact your credit or credit score. And, once established, the account, along with the corresponding credit limit and /or usage of the card, will not impact your credit or your credit score; nor should it appear on your credit report.

The Penn Travel Card is for faculty and staff who are required to or anticipate traveling or incurring qualifying business related expenses on behalf of the University.
