The Penn Travel Card Makes Travel Easier
The Penn Travel Card Makes Travel Easier:
Full time faculty and staff who are traveling and incurring qualifying business related expenses on behalf of The University of Pennsylvania (Penn) are eligible to apply for a Penn Travel Card. The applicant will need to be an expense user for Concur Expense as assigned by their business office. The applicant should receive approval from their School/Center and must agree to Penn’s Travel Cardholder Agreement, provided by Bank of America. Applying for the Penn Travel Card will not impact a faculty’s / staff’s personal credit or credit score nor should it appear on the faculty’s / staff’s credit report.
The Penn Travel Card Application is provided Here.
The Penn Travel Card integrates with Concur Expense and Penn Travel Card transactions automatically flow into the Concur application. This helps reduce manual entry and facilitate prompt payment of eligible business travel related expenses. Bank of America offers a digital card which offers a convenient contactless payment option using Bank of America’s downloadable mobile wallet app.
In addition, the Penn Travel Card:
o Helps to keep work-related travel and entertainment expenses separate from personal expenses;
o Allows widespread merchant access anywhere Visa is accepted;
o Includes Chip and PIN technology, particularly important for international travelers;
o Reduces fees on international transactions; and
o Offers best-in-class fraud protection as well as lost luggage and AD&D insurance.
The Penn Travel Card is sponsored by the Division of Finance. For more information, please contact Travel Card Administration at TravelCardSupport@upenn.edu.
